Hello. I am Roland Sparling. I have been  living and working in Southampton UK for over 30 years.

I am now back in Abingdon, near Oxford, that I left in 1978. Its changed a bit , but so have I !

The name RCS enterprises  is just a simple name I used to separate my working and personal lives.

I have now taken the rather large step of deciding to retire from work. (a few years early, honestly) This may not last long though as I feel that  having de-registered my self as self employed and done away with the need for accounts, I will have a fair amount of spare time. 

I think I could be looking for some part time work , when I have got myself settled in.

In 2006 I became a widower , when my wife Pat died after 33 years of marriage and this has changed my outlook on life.

I do not have expensive tastes or hobbies and as long as I have enough to run the house, normal day to day costs, help my daughters when necessary, and have a bit left over for a few good holidays, I am a happy person. ( I will admit to being a Casual Cruise Nut ! )

I make basic websites. My site which started as a hobby, now keeps me quite busy and gets many international visitors.

I am fascinated by the world of computing and learn something new every day.

All New Technology interests me, and trying to keep up with developments is a challenge.
