e.g. 320M22FFSL6x2x4, is the full designation of quite a complex vehicle !

or - 90M7.9FK4X2, is a small tipper.

 

Code Breakdown.

320 DIN Horsepower rating

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

M Cab Type, Club of Four or Fiat Derived.

D Cab Type, Ulm Germany Cab.

22 Designed Maximum Gross Vehicle Weight in Tonnes ( or Train weight )

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

F Front End layout, 'F'= frontlenker which means the steering wheel is ahead of the front axle line.

If No 'F' then vehicle is Normal Control where the steering wheel is

behind the front axle line ( An 'Eckhauber' or previously a 'Rundhauber' )

In Germany an 'H' is occasionally used to denote a hauber.

F If there is a second 'F' then this denotes a sleeper cab model.

A The letter 'A' stands for Allrad Antreib, All Wheel Drive
